Recession bites - but opportunities for young people still there

BXL continues to find opportunities for young people, despite the general economic picture remaining poor.

Apprenticeships, vacancies and volunteering opportunities are still to be found.

This week alone we have made placements on a football coaching course, an apprenticeship leading to higher NVQ qualifications, and supported some 250 adults and young people through offering placement support and independent information, advice and guidance.

BXL works with Local Authorities, the LSC and employers to supplement their resources to support individuals in finding and getting ready for work, and help find placements and people to fill them.
