Outreach Worker’s Persistence pays off!
This young man’s story sums it up. At the core, of his success, is Paul’s bravery and wish to move on. Paul’s barriers to learning could be seen as inconsequential in comparison with some but still they would have stopped him from engaging if not for the persistence of our Outreach Worker. The Outreach Worker dedicated time to develop the trust Paul needed to have, to disclose his true wishes and ask for the support he needed.
However, what is clear is that the network of support and partnership working is also essential to the client’s success.
The Outreach Worker could not have achieved these results without the support of Paul’s family. Both Outreach Worker and Paul’s family played an essential role, with Paul’s full knowledge, of maintaining contact and providing motivation when times were difficult. The Learning Provider rose to the challenge of flexibility in delivery to promote Paul’s best chance of completing the course.
