Bxchange to be launched early 2010

Initially born out of a Regional Skills Partnership meeting regarding the need for improved collaboration between schools and business, Bxchange has been created by BXL.
Bxchange is a portal where young people can access employment opportunities from registered employers in conjunction with a broker.
Phase one of the roll out will see BXL offering this facility through Connexions Solihull before a wider roll out later in 2010.
It provides the facility for registered employers to post vacancies for apprenticeships, full time and part time vacancies.

The main benefits of the first phase of this portal are:

• Accessible from anywhere via the internet
• Easy to navigate
• Excellent search facility
• By vacancy type
• By industry
• By location
• By date posted
• Only shows live vacancies

It is envisaged that Bxchange will eventually become a one stop shop for employers, educators, and young people alike and will help to improve and strengthen links between them.
