Peter joined the LSC in mid 2001, following a career in corporate banking and several years with the Legal Services Commission.

As Director of Planning & Budgeting at the LSC's National Office, responsibilities included the funding allocation & management of the national programmes for Further Education, Work-based Learning, School Sixth Forms and Adult & Community.

Joining Derbyshire LSC in early 2004, Peter spent the next 3½ years as Executive Director/Area Director, before moving across to the West Midlands to become responsible for the Birmingham & Solihull Area team.

In addition, Peter is currently leading the West Midlands project team responsible for setting up the National Apprenticeship Service with effect from April 09.
