After the resounding success of our Education Business Exchange Event in November, we are pleased to inform you of the next debate in February (see below for more details). We are also excited about the launch in early 2010 of our Bxchange website which, in it’s first incarnation, will offer a free vacancy facility to employers. …the second of our Education Business Exchange events takes place in February
We will be hosting the second of our Education Business Exchange events on the 26th February 2010. The focus of the discussion among other things, will be for Educators to demystify qualifications for Employers, and to debate a solution that looks at accrediting the ‘soft skills' demanded by Employers for young people. Bxchange to be launched early 2010
Initially born out of a Regional Skills Partnership meeting regarding the need for improved collaboration between schools and business, Bxchange has been created by BXL.
Bxchange is a portal where young people can access employment opportunities from registered employers in conjunction with a broker. Read more...
Future Jobs Fund recruitment process begins…
BXL is part of a consortium with Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Bournville College, and together we are hosting 44 placements in two separate six month tranches. BXL will provide two administrative posts in each six month period. We will also provide job preparation and CV writing workshops throughout the placements. Read more...
