Finding Your Own Placements All of the companies we work with have been checked and assessed by a health and safety officer, to ensure that your work experience is safe and risk-free. If you wish to do your work experience in another area, contact the work experience co-ordinator at your school as soon as possible with the details of where you wish to work. BXL can then assess your work environment and ensure it is a safe and interesting place to work. |

We can help you to prepare for that by guiding you through the steps you need to take and to help you to understand what it will be like when you get to your place of work. This programm is spread over one, two or three school terms and combines work experience of your choice and time in school to reflect on your experience. Here is an outline of what you can expect;
- You will be given support throughout the placement by a designated BXL Key worker.
- You will gain a greater understanding of the world of work.
- You may also have to opportunity to work through units of BTEC WorkSkills.
