Partners - Public, Private and Third Sector Strategic Partnerships

Partnership is at the core of everything that BXL does and as our job is to bring educators and employers together, we have a diverse range of partnerships, but all with the common aim to get people ready for work.

Because of the nature of the work that we do, the output from our partnerships is tangible and the following is just an example of some of the great work that has been achieved.
  • Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Council
We deliver the work related learning and work experience programmes for 14 – 19 year olds in schools and colleges in Birmingham and Solihull. We created a range of programmes that incorporated the feedback and ideas that we have had from schools and these programmes are now being delivered to help young people to get ready for work.
  • Birmingham Children’s Hospital
We manage their entire work experience programme for young people, making it easier for young people to engage with them and preventing NHS staff from being absorbed in administrative tasks.
Secondary School
Primary School
  • Jaguar Land Rover
Together we run the partnerships centres that give young people the opportunity to see the modern face of manufacturing and to understand the relevance of science, technology and engineering subjects in the real world of work.
  • Birmingham Metropolitan College
Birmingham Metropolitan College is one of the training and education partners that we work with to deliver bespoke courses to young people who are not currently in education employment or training. 70% of the young people who complete the Elev8 programme go on to further education and training.

Building new partnerships

We are always looking to strengthen our connections with the private, public and third sector so that we can continue to add value to the educators and employers that we already work with. Some of the organisations that we are working with include, West Midlands Police, Birmingham Community Foundation, The NEC, Midlands Art Centre and many other leading organisations operating regionally and nationally.
